CELA Spanish School, Medical Spanish Course
As communication with Spanish-speaking patients and colleagues is gaining in importance, CELA Spanish School has designed this Spanish course for the medical professions. The Medical Spanish Course is designed for any kind of health care professional, and also for students of medicine.
The main goal of the Spanish course for medicine is to improve Spanish language skills in order to be able to communicate with patients, gain their confidence, help them to recover, and to provide the patient and his/her family with health advice.
The school can help to organize an internship for those students who are physicians or final semester medical students who will be on the island for at least 2 weeks. If you are interested in an internship you must send us the following documents:
- Complete resume
- Copy of university matriculation certificate
- Copy of your accreditation for practicing medicine (if you are physician)
- A personal letter detailing your interests and motives for the internship
The school must receive these documents one month before the course starts. Please do not forget to bring your white medical coat with you.
A working knowledge of basic Spanish is required for the Medical Spanish Course.
Please fill in the Level Test A on CELA Online so that we can assess your current Spanish level. It is also possible to take the general Spanish courses at the school first before taking the Medical Spanish Course.
